Mentors among us. would you look for one??

It was a Sunday, when I went to harbor square in Manila to participate in an exercise routine held everyday. I went there along with my friends because we wanted to try aero dance there. It was around 5:30am; we hustled going from our place to harbor square. Upon arrival I saw a group of people doing aero dance already; they’re all sweaty and pumped up for the work out. Seeing them with enthusiasm and spirit, I rushed in, to join in the ranks of these people. There was an instructor at the front of the group instructing these moves to be done, one by one. And by just looking at the crowd and the situation, I come to notice that even though that the moves make them look stupid, humiliating or silly, they still do it in spite of this circumstance. They stretched, jumped, bounced, punched and kicked all their hearts out while the instructor rest for while.

Observing the situation, I had realized that everyone was so coachable, even me. And come to think of it, we were looking for a mentor who would guide, teach and help us get into shape. It doesn’t matter who that mentor would be, we didn’t even care how he looked, as long as we can achieve results with what this mentor is teaching. Feeling silly with the routines we were doing, I still clang onto these guys who were so graceful doing each step of the exercise. The fitness instructor doesn’t care who we are and still instructs passionately the steps. He also doesn’t care if you leave the pack and stop what you’re doing or when you’re running slow to follow what his doing. He will just continue because he’s only concerned about those who can follow. I felt a little left out because seriously, I was having a hard time to follow him. So try as I might, but alas, I still get confused about the moves and decided to rest a bit at the side of the floor.
So what does this got to do with us? Easy, when you want to do something, you’ve never done before or want to seek growth, and you’re aware that you can’t do all things on your own, you should look for help or mentors that would help you out. THarv Eker mentioned that “If you’re not growing, then you are DYING.” These people don’t want to feel dying early that’s why they want to grow more.
In life, we seek guidance in all aspects of life especially, in making money because we want to grow more and improve on these aspects. Many of us, wanted to have a business on our own and we can’t do it alone at the start, so we seek mentoring and coaching. Having this goal of owning my own business, I searched for guidance, and fortunately, my cousin introduced this business community called “Create Abundance 2020”. This community opened my eyes to the possibilities and ways of starting my dream now on my own. So I strived hard and achieved my first goal; that is to be part of this great community. Now that I’m already a part of this team, I know that all my efforts were not in vain.
